New Moon Manifestation Ritual


Tonight the moon both finishes and begins another cycle. The new moon is a time of rebirth and renewal, and is the perfect time to start new projects and focus on manifesting anything you want to bring into your life. A new moon is a perfect time to focus on new possibilities, positive energy and any goals you want to achieve over the next month, or beyond.

Items needed:

  • incense or smudge stick
  • candles
  • lighter or matches
  • crystals
  • notepad
  • magazines
  • scissors
  • tape or glue stick
  • pens or colored pencils

Preferably at night before the moon rises, or  just after it has risen, find a space to sit where you can be in silence and be reflective. If you have a meditation space or altar you may want to perform this ritual there. Use incense (such as sandalwood, sage, or lavender) or a smudge stick to cleanse the area. Have anything around you that relaxes you and will help you to connect to yourself and your desires. You can have soft music playing, light candles, or have crystals near you. Anything that calms and focuses you.

Open your notebook and write in the date at the top. Choose a mantra or affirmation statement that resonates with you and write that at the top of the page as well. For example “I welcome into my life these things for my highest good, and the good of all concerned. So it is!” Underneath the affirmation statement write all the things you which to bring into your life such as a new job, a new relationship, etc. Don’t skip anything whether you think its too big or too small. Write all the statements and things in a positive manner, such as “I am” or “I will” and avoid words like “don’t”, “can’t”, etc.

Sit comfortably, lengthening the spine, and relaxing all of your body. Close the eyes and focus on your breath. Let your breath deepen and lengthen. Drawing the inhale all the way down into your belly, and letting all the air out on the exhale. Bring your focus now to your intentions that you wrote down, and begin to imagine that you have received them. How would it feel to have these things?  How would your life change for the better? Take a few minutes to focus on all these positive things you wish to draw to you  and into your life.

When you feel ready, open your eyes and take a look at your list. If you wish you can then add any pictures to the list, turning your notebook into a vision notebook, or you can use a bulletin board or poster board and create a vision board focusing on all the things you added to your list. You can use this over the month to look at and keep yourself focused on your goals.

Feel free to change your list throughout the month. If one of the things on your list comes true, even the small ones. Cross it out, and then rewrite your list leaving out the one you crossed out that had come to you. Rewriting the list keeps you focused on the positive and drawing these things to you.
